Trombonist, author and inventor Paul Tanner, who played with the Glenn Miller band during it's most productive years, and later had a hand in inventing the theramin, the strange instrument that became the most recognizable in Ed Wood movies and the Beach Boys' "Good Vibraions", has died at 95, of pneumonia.
