Dan Peek, a founding member of the rock group "America" died on Sunday at the age of 60 of undisclosed causes.
Peek formed "America" with former bandmates Dewey Bunnell and Gerry Beckley in 1970. He shared lead vocal duties and played guitar, bass, and keyboards. He appeared on the bands biggest hits including "A Horse With No Name", "Ventura Highway", "Sister Golden Hair".
He wrote other hits including "Lonely People", and "Today's the Day". After years of self-admitted drug use, Peek left the band in 1977, citing his religious faith. ...
