The son of wrestling legend Ric Flair has died.

Reid Fliehr, better known to wrestling fans as "Reid Flair," was found dead in Charlotte, N.C., on Friday morning, according to TMZ. He was just 25 years old.

North Carolina's WCNC reports that Charlotte-Mecklenburg police received a phone call at around 10:30 a.m. from someone claiming a man was unresponsive in a hotel room at the Marriott Residence Inn off Piedmont Row Drive South. The man was later identified as Reid Fliehr .

Ric's agent, Melinda Morris Zanoni, released a statement regarding Reid's death . The message was posted on the Legacy Talent and Entertainment, LLC Facebook page:

We are heartbroken to confirm that Ric's son, Reid Fliehr, has passed away today March 29, 2013 in Charlotte, NC. The investigation into the cause of death is ongoing. Reid was 25 and an incredible son, brother, friend, and professional wrestler. No words can describe the grief that Ric and his family are experiencing and they do request privacy during this devastating time.

Police report that no foul play appears to be involved in the death, according to WCNC. The investigation is ongoing.

TMZ notes that he had issues with heroin use. In 2009, Reid was arrested for heroin possession after he crashed his vehicle in North Carolina. This was just one year after he made his pro-wrestling debut on Dec. 6, 2008, according to Bleacher Report.

Most recently, he had been wrestling for All Japan Pro-Wrestling and seemed excited about his developing career. His last tweet spoke of the good things to come.

[DeadCelebrityAlert] Rock critic, Crawdaddy! founder Paul Williams, , 64

(Other sources say he died of complications from Alzheimer's. - JR)

Paul Williams, the writer and editor who helped create what we now know as rock journalism with Crawdaddy!, a magazine he founded in 1966, died last night at the age of 64 from complications related to a 1995 bike accident.

Williams began publishing Crawdaddy! at the age of 17, following his earlier work publishing science fiction fanzines -- as Johan Kugelberg stresses on Williams' website, "science-fiction fandom roots... all rock fanzines and of rock fandom." Williams continued to publish and grow Crawdaddy! for two years, printing the early work of influential writers such as Sandy Pearlman and Jon Landau; the former would go on to produce The Clash's Give 'Em Enough Rope, while the latter of whom would go on to manage and produce Bruce Springsteen. ...

In its two-to-three-year run (as Williams described it), the magazine's distribution went from 500 copies to 25,000 and could count among its fans Paul Simon, Bob Dylan, Luc Sante.

Following the initial success of Crawdaddy!, Williams closed up shop in New York and moved to Mendocino, Calif. where he traveled with Timothy Leary and "ended up at John and Yoko's Bed-In for Peace in Montreal." ...

Williams went on to pen more than 25 books ...

[DeadCelebrityAlert] Character actor ("Harry Potter") Richard Griffiths, 65

Richard Griffiths, the award-winning actor famous for his roles in Withnail & I and Harry Potter, has died following complications after heart surgery. The celebrated stage and screen star, one of Britain's best-known character actors, was 65.

Tributes poured in for the actor, who died on Thursday at the University Hospital of Coventry and Warwickshire. Daniel Radcliffe, who starred alongside Griffiths in the Harry Potter films, said the actor made any room "twice as funny".

Radcliffe said Griffiths had supported him at two key points in his career, when he first played the young Harry Potter and later when he made his stage debut in Equus. ...
